1121 Basmati Rice
Oryza sativaThe world’s longest grain basmati — steam, sella, golden sella and raw, milled to buyer specification.
We buy cumin, coriander, psyllium husk and guar at the mandis that set their price — most of them within a day’s drive of this office — and ship them against a written specification, with the analysis certificate to match.
J.V EXPORTS INDIA is a proprietorship export house in Jodhpur — the commercial centre of western Rajasthan, the region that supplies most of India’s cumin, psyllium husk, guar and ajwain.
We buy at the mandi ourselves, on the day the lots arrive. That is the only way to know which field a consignment came from — and the only reason we can stand behind what the certificate says.
We deliberately do not list everything that grows in India. These are the two categories we buy, grade and ship often enough to know the crop, the season and the specification without having to ask.

Most quality disputes start the same way — a certificate issued against an earlier lot, or a single grab sample standing in for forty tonnes. We sample on a proper incremental plan and issue the analysis against the exact lot being shipped.
We do not chase reviews. These are buyers who came back for a second and third shipment — which, in this trade, says more than anything written on a website.
“We have been lifting cumin and coriander for two seasons now. What stands out is that the pre-shipment analysis matches what lands in Jebel Ali — that is rarer than it should be.”
“Non-GMO maize and groundnut, shipped on schedule through Mundra. Documentation has been clean every time, which keeps our customs clearance quick.”
“Parboiled rice in 25 kg bags, four containers a month. They quote honestly when the market moves instead of going quiet, and that is why we keep ordering.”
